The Darkness Took shape of Father part2

A Psychological Horror Story

After hearing the truth from his mother, Ankit felt as if the ground beneath him had disappeared.

Every bruise on her body.
Every sleepless night.
Every strange behavior.

It all suddenly made horrifying sense.

But the worst part was still waiting for him.

No One Believed Her

The next morning, Ankit confronted his father and elder brother.

“Something is seriously wrong with Mom,” he told them. “You need to see what’s happening to her.”

Reluctantly, his father entered the room and spoke privately with his wife for a long time.

When he came back outside, his expression remained calm. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/travel/destinations/haunted-railway-stations-in-india-and-their-untold-stories/photostory/111237784.cms

Too calm.

“I think your mother’s mental condition is unstable,” he said. “Maybe schizophrenia.”

Ankit could not believe what he was hearing.

But because his family had always trusted logic over emotions, they decided to seek medical help instead of considering anything supernatural.

His mother was admitted to Dayanand Medical College & Hospital for psychiatric treatment.

For a few weeks, things seemed better.

She spoke a little more.
She looked slightly healthier.
The nightmares appeared to stop.

Eventually, the family brought her back home.

And that was when the true horror finally revealed itself.

The Night Everything Changed

One Saturday night, Ankit’s father was again on night duty.

Only Ankit and his mother were home.

After dinner, Ankit took his PlayStation into his mother’s room so she would not feel alone. She swallowed her sleeping medicine and quietly went to bed while Ankit sat nearby playing games.

Hours passed.

At around 1:00 AM, he paused the game and walked to the bathroom.

When he returned…

his entire body froze.

His mother was standing on top of the bed.

She wore no clothes.

Her hands were folded in fear, tears streaming down her face.

And standing in front of her—

was a tall dark shadow.

Not a human.
Not a shape he could fully describe.

Just darkness.

A presence.

Ankit could hear his mother crying and pleading:

“Please leave me… I know you are not my husband…”

The room felt ice cold.

For a moment, fear paralyzed him completely.

Then instinct took over.

He rushed toward the bed screaming, switched on the lights, grabbed a bedsheet, wrapped it around his mother, and pulled her away from the shadow.

The moment the lights came on—

the figure vanished.

His mother collapsed into his arms, crying uncontrollably.

That night, Ankit finally understood one terrifying truth:

His mother was not mentally ill.

Something was hunting her.

Searching for Help

The next morning, Ankit told his father and brother what he had witnessed.

But they still refused to believe him.

“You watch too many horror things,” they said. “Your mind is disturbed too.”

For the first time in his life, Ankit felt completely alone.

But he refused to abandon his mother.

A few days later, he contacted an uncle living in Himachal Pradesh  a man known in the family for his devotion to Hanuman and spiritual practices.

Ankit drove to meet him personally.

The moment the uncle looked at his face, he understood that something terrible had happened.

“Tell me the truth,” he said quietly.

Ankit broke down.

“My mother needs help.”

The uncle asked for his mother’s photograph.

After staring at it silently for several minutes, he closed his eyes and entered deep meditation.

Fifteen minutes later, he opened his eyes and calmly asked:

“It comes to her in the form of your father… doesn’t it?”

Ankit felt chills spread through his entire body.

He had never told him that detail.

The Narsing

The uncle explained that a dangerous spirit known locally as a “Narsing” had attached itself to Ankit’s mother.

According to old legends from villages near Ludhiana, the Narsing was believed to target women emotionally and spiritually, feeding on fear and weakness.

The uncle warned Ankit:

“You came to me at the right time. Another few months, and your mother may not have survived this.”

He handed Ankit a sacred thread and instructed him to tie it inside his mother’s room.

The next day, the uncle personally visited the apartment.

He walked silently through every room, touching walls and corners as though sensing something invisible.

After leaving the house, he told Ankit something that made his blood run cold.

“That thing stays inside your room. Every night after you fall asleep… it goes to your mother.”

The Three Cardamoms

Before leaving, the uncle handed Ankit three blessed cardamoms.

Then he gave him a terrifying warning.

“No matter what happens, you must make your mother eat these.”

That evening, Ankit approached his mother while she sat quietly in the living room.

The moment she saw the cardamoms in his hand, her behavior changed instantly.

Her eyes darkened.

She shoved him away with shocking force.

Then she began muttering in a strange voice that did not sound like hers at all.

Ankit later said it felt as if something else had taken control of her body.

But he refused to back away.

Using all his strength, he forced the cardamoms into her mouth while she screamed and struggled violently.

For several terrifying moments, it felt impossible to control her.

Then suddenly—

everything stopped.

His mother became weak and exhausted.

Looking at him softly, she whispered:

“Son… I feel very sleepy…”

And she quietly went to bed.

The First Peaceful Sleep

The next morning, for the first time in months, Ankit’s mother woke up peacefully.

No fear.
No exhaustion.
No bruises.

With tears in her eyes, she smiled faintly and said:

“I finally slept properly after so long.”

Over the next seven days, prayers dedicated to Bhairav Baba and Mata Rani were performed continuously inside the house.

Slowly, the darkness disappeared.

His mother’s health improved.
The nightmares stopped.
The terrifying presence vanished forever.

Before everything ended, the uncle revealed one last truth.

According to him, someone from their extended family had secretly performed dark rituals against Ankit’s mother during a wedding function months earlier.

The goal was simple:

To destroy her life.

The uncle refused to reveal the relative’s naame.

But then he looked directly at Ankit and said something he would never forget.

“Those dreams you had in the beginning… your mother standing outside your room… they were warnings.”

He pointed toward the Rudraksha around Ankit’s neck.

“Your faith in Shiva protected your mother before it was too late.”
